Business since 1994, we provide a guided boat chartering service to clients from around the world in Hydaburg to entertain them with the natural resources we have with Marine and Wildlife Sightseeing Adventure, Outdoor Camping Trip, and Sport Fishing Adventure including Kayak Escort & Guide Service and Scuba Diving Charter Trips.

We are very unique because we are isolated away from other heavy boat charter traffic and also away from ocean swells that clients don't want to contend with but to enjoy a peaceful and quite trip.

Haida Charters have several boats to meet your needs to accommodate your trip more enjoyable.

What really is unique about Haida Charters is that our USCG licensed captains is either a current or former commercial fishermen with many years of fishing experience in the same area of Hydaburg all of their lives and knows the hot spot to fish as well as the site to enjoy the scenery. All of our captain are Haida natives so you will enjoy the most out of your trip safely.

We also provide pick-up and drop off service for our clients between Craig and Hydaburg during their durations of their trips.

About Our Service

Deep Sea Sport fishing Service

Haida Charters provides a guided deep sea sporting guide and charter for our area where we covers from Cordova Bay area to Cape Muzon to Dall Island not far from Hydaburg, we can troll and or jig for King Salmon, Cohos, & Sockeyes. There are many fishing ground to accommodate customers preference of staying on the "inside waters" or open water area.

Marine Sightseeing Service

Haida Charters provides a guided boat sevice on marine sightseeing trip to see marine life and wildlife such as: Whales, Purpoise, Salmon runs, Seals, otters, and many others, also we can see bears, deers, eagles, beavers, and many other wildlife that is available to see in all of the area surrounding Hydaburg.

Kayak Guide Service

Haida Charters is available to provide escort and guide service to Kayakers on both either individuals or in groups, anywhere from outside of Prince Ruperts, B.C. to East of Prince Of Wales Islands or West of Prince Wales Islands to North of Sumner Straits, if by request, we can go as far as Juneau. we can provide escort and guide service going North or South.
Haida Charters have a 28' Bayliner that can be used as a safety escort boat for Kayakers and overnight accomodation on the boat is available and for towing.

Outdoor Camping Trip

Haida Charters provides outdoor camping trip on transportation and escort trips to clients going on Outdoor Camping trips, Hydaburg area has many small islands to camp out on for overnight trips to as long as clients want to stay out. we can provide daily runs for outdoor campers during the duration of their trips for supplies and anything needs to be picked up and or dropped off.

Scuba Diving Trips

Haida Charters provide transportation and guided dive trip for clients taking scuba diving trip to see and observe marine life underwater in Alaska surrounding Hydaburg area, such as visiting a group seal lions, watching King crab in shallow waters in December thru April, The waters are clear for scuba divers to see interesting marine life, Haida Charters has a 28' Bayliner which has an interior that are modified for up to four scuba divers and two crew members. Clients provides their own gears or gears rental are available from a local dive shop in Craig, Alaska. A Divemaster/guide are included on every trip.

Other Service Available

Haida Charters is also available for any other transportation service needs as requested, Also Haida Charters is available to provide an "Alaskan" captain to assist or co-captain your own boat up to 100 tons as far from Seattle or Bellingham, Washington to as far as to Sitka or Juneau one way or round trip or just around the Prince Of Wales Islands. Our licensed and experienced Skippers can help you navigate your boat safely up to 100 tons boat thru the Alaskan waters thus making your trip more enjoyable then to risk navigating thru Alaska on your own.

About Our Boats

Our boats are stern drive hardtop fiberglass planing hull boats with interior cabin heaters providing warmth to our customers on board, we have a 28' Bayliner Flybridge cabin cruiser can hold up to four passengers and two crews, we also have two Glasply fiberglass hardtop sterndrive cruiser, one is 18' and the other is 21'. The both can carry up to three passengers and a operator. We also have a 1977 40' commercial fishing boat F/V Johnboy a diesel powered boat cruises at 9 knots and carry up to 5 passenger and two crewmembers, it is very sea worthy vessel and very comfortable boat that can do any of the service we provided. Haida Charters have accommodation in Craig, Alaska about an hours drive on a state paved highway to Ruth Ann's Hotel & Restuarant.
