 Haida Video StoreSummer of 1989, starting adding sales of microwave popcorn, soft drinks and candy and expanding the video store to 1100 video tapes. In Summer of 1990, relocated Haida Video Store to a 20x25' single floor commercial building on lease and continued to expand movies titles to 3000 movies titles also that same year added sales of fresh popped popcorn, refrigerated soft drinks sales, hot nachos Cheese and chips, wide variety of chips on display, sales of cigarettes, beef jerky, Snocones, Slush Puppies, Fresh made ice cream, fresh hot dogs and larger variety of candies. Haida Video Store was increasingly popular with the local customers in Hydaburg not only because it is the only video store in town but they were many customers that comes to the store on a daily basis all year round. There were times that an extra temporary help was needed just to fill the demand for service. Many times over the years, especially the holidays, there were "Standing Room Only", where customers waited for as a long as half an hour before being served. The sales increased in just a few weeks beginning of Fall in 1990 that the sales were very consistant throughout the year. In 1995, The lease for the commercial building was terminated at which the owner wanted to convert the building into a private residence. plus since the owner been running the business 99% of the time, the owner of Haida Video Store was "Burned Out" decided to close the business until a new video store is being build thus giving the owner much needed rest before starting up again. In 2002, the owner is working on the project to seeking capital from either an financing angel, private lender, private investment, or a financial institution.
